DescriptionThe group project was to find an alternative way of using an application, keyboard or mouse in a way that makes it easier for someone with a physical disability (who may struggle to use a generic keyboard or mouse). The idea proposed was a hand gesture system that used a modified Kinect skeleton structure to recognise hands and hand gestures. Voice recognition was one of the implementnations as the number of speech libraries available today (such as microsoft.speech.input) have become much more advanced over the past decade and speech recognition is widely considered to be the secondary method of input to the keyboard.
